So Classic it Hurts

This week I am working to finish a piece which was intended to be a refinish... But through the process of what is known in the industry as "creep" ( when the process of a job becomes much more involved then originally intended) ... I now find myself in the middle of what essentially is a complete rebuild. The piece of furniture was originally just a weekend cabinet maker (woodworker) rendition of a post modern china cabinet. It was made entirely of shop grade birch plywood. I have used the basic plywood carcass and wrapped it completely in mahogany. The piece now has very classical lines including Roman Ogee Block Feet. I am excited to finish the piece as I believe it is only one of maybe three pieces I have done in a traditional manner since leaving the Historic District of Charelston , South about 20 years ago. Keep your eyes pealed I will post before and after photos soon. Cheers! Troy Evans www.blockhorsedesigns.com
