This piece was built on that historical day 9/11/2001 in honor of the firemen who lost their lives in the Twin Towers. Within the base of the sculpture the number 7 is seen. As the viewer walks around the sculpture they see the 7 become a 9 with the vertical element and also the numbers 1-1.

The top of the sculpture has stridations in color forming a symbolic "ground zero". The iron support is symbolic of the slide pole the firemen slide down in a firehouse.
